Sneak Peek Sunday / #SnippetSunday - November 17

Welcome to this weeks version of Sneak Peek Sunday / Snippet Sunday.  We'll pick up where we left off last week. Finn is frustrated with Elspeth's plan to wed Alexander...

Just Once in a Verra Blue Moon
A Highland Gardens Novel
Bk #2

Something unpleasant occurred to put dark shadows in her eyes. Of that, he was certain. “Why won’t you talk to me?”

Elspeth twisted to the side and glanced at him from beneath her lashes. “Is that not what I have been doing?”

“No, you haven’t. You’ve been skirting whatever upset you.” Finn’s hands curled into fists at his sides. Why wouldn’t she confide in him?

    1. Hi, Nancy. Thanks! She feels obligated to wed the man (Alexander) chosen by her father whom she once believed herself in love with. He's changed. Not in a good way.

  2. Me, too! Is she afraid of what he'll think of her---or what he'll do to the one(s) who hurt her?

  5. Read this a long time ago, when Dawn was first working on it. Thought it was great then and this snippet reminds me why. Best of luck with this and your current release.

  6. I hope he can persuade her to confide in him but of course then there's no telling what will happen. Excellent excerpt!

  7. Nothing like being a wee bit frustrated. I hope she opens up and tells him what happened.

  9. He needs to make her feel a little bit more comfortable if he wants to hear what she has to say, clenched fists won't do, hehe.
